Close to home
Edmonton is about three hours up the QEII from our Calgary shop, so for most Edmonton shows it's a drive, not a flight. That keeps travel costs down and makes it practical to do a proper site visit before the event rather than planning off a floor plan.
A lot of our Edmonton work is the kind of event where nothing can go wrong in front of the room: annual general meetings, board-level presentations and conferences with a hybrid audience watching from other offices.

Planning notes for Edmonton events

Older ballrooms often have limited rigging points and power in awkward places. A site visit catches that early, before it turns into a change order.
How we staff out-of-town shows
How we staff a show outside Calgary depends on the show. Sometimes our full crew and gear travel with us. Sometimes our core team flies in and works alongside local crew. We'll tell you which approach fits your event, and why, when we quote.
Either way, one of our founders leads the show. That's the person you planned it with, and they'll be the calm voice on headset when it runs.
Common questions
Do you charge travel for Edmonton events?
Travel is quoted as its own line item so you can see it. Because Edmonton is a drive from Calgary, it's usually modest compared with fly-in shows.
Can you produce a hybrid AGM in Edmonton?
Yes. We produce in-person, hybrid and virtual AGMs, including remote shareholder participation and moderated questions.
Do you work at venues other than the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald?
Yes. We'll work in whichever hotel, conference centre or office you've booked, and we'll review the venue's AV terms with you before you sign.
